Romain is the presenter of "Vet on the loose" currently on Animal Planet in the UK (sky 525) from the 3rd August 2009 7:30PM weeknights. This 13 part series, with Jo Brand as the voice of the narrator, sees him travelling around the UK treating a whole host of unusual animals, from tortoises and tarantulas to skunks and snakes, even an elephant. Romain also presented the pilot series of "Creature Clinic", produced by North One television for BBC3, in 2007, was a judge on the 10 part second series of "Top Dog", presented by Shauna Lowry, and produced by Ten Alps television for Animal Planet in 2008, as well as appearing on other shows on BBC, Animal Planet, Channel 4, and FIVE.
Both directors have written extensively both for the lay and popular press, as well as in scientific publications, journals, and books. Romain was previously the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the British Veterinary Zoological Society (BVZS), a non-territorial division of the British Veterinary Association (BVA), which represents approximately 500 veterinary surgeons working and interested in zoo animals, wildlife, and exotic pet medicine and surgery.
